Matic: This is our most important game so far

Manchester United midfielder, Nemanja Matic believes that the club’s Champions League Round of 16 second-leg clash with Sevilla on Tuesday is their most important game so far this season.

The tie is level after a goalless first-leg in Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan last month. With Sevilla keen on progressing to the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time in their history, the former Chelsea man is confident that the Red Devils will draw inspiration from their recent run of victories in high-tensioned games to edge out the Spanish side.

While speaking with pressmen ahead of the game, the Serbia International said: “This is very important for our confidence to win this sort of game.”

“in the Premier League, we defeated Champions, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and our bitter-rivals, Liverpool, so confidence will be on a big level, definitely and this will be to our advantage.

“We have to see what we did well to continue like this; we have to know where we made mistakes to improve.

“The next game is very important for us, maybe the most important game of the season. We have to beat Sevilla to go through, so we will give our best.”
