Former World Footballer of the year, Kaka has officially announced his retirement from Professional football, thereby ending an illustrious career which saw him claim every top prize in football.

The Brazilian superstar who featured for Orlando city last season had said that city could be his last club and his decision will be made public at the end of their football season.

He, however, played in Orlando City’s 1:0 loss to Columbus crew last October, a game which will now be his last appearance in professional football.

Kaka, 35 on Sunday took to Social media to make a clear statement about his decision.

He posted a picture of himself in his famous “I belong to Jesus” t-shirt he had also worn in the Champions League final victory against Liverpool in 2007 in a black and white image and wrote “Father, it was much more than I could ever imagine. Thank you! I’m now ready for the next journey, In Jesus Name. Amen”.
